WHO WE ARE — Lake of the Pines is a charming, single-family community with a 13-acre lake at its center. Wooded, spacious 1-acre-plus lots offer breathtaking views of the lake and the surrounding peaks in the San Juan Mountains, including the Needles, Engineer, and Spud Mountain.

WHERE WE ARE — Located at 8900 feet near the southwest corner of Colorado in the spectacular, jagged San Juan Mountains, Lake of the Pines is situated 25 miles north of the quaint western town of Durango, 25 miles south of historic Silverton, and 1 mile south of the Purgatory Ski Resort.

WHAT TO DO — Our area is a unique destination with opportunities for many indoor and outdoor activities, both active and scenic—hiking, fishing, climbing, mountain biking, river rafting, river surfing, horseback riding in the summer; snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, dogsledding, snowshoeing in the winter—but a few of the many options. There are art galleries, an historic train, museums, a ski resort, and national parks within an hour of our community.

WHY WE LIVE HERE — The iconic weather (Colorado has more than 300 days of sunshine a year!), the magnificent alpine terrain, and the unparalleled views, views, and more views. Welcome to a unique, majestic piece of heaven.
